Rust

Rust is a fungal disease most commonly affecting leaves, however it can occasionally be found on stems flowers and fruit. Rust can vary in color depending on the type being found in orange, yellow, brown, black, and white. It commonly occurs in late summer to early autumn and often affects kinds of Allium, roses, boxwoods; broad, runner, and French beans, chrysanthemum, fuchsia, heuchera, iris, hollyhock and pear to name a few.

In small infections, Rust may be controlled by picking affected leaves off. Fungicides are not recommended on plants that are intended for consumption. In many cases, Rust on trees will not effect the vitality of the tree but in severe cases we recommend Fung-onil.
