Kimberly Queen Fern
This plant adds a stunning, bold look in the form of narrow upright green fronds. It can be used in containers and in the ground. When planted in the ground they can get up to 3 foot tall. Like most ferns, it prefers to be grown in part to full shade locations with moist, well-drained soil. Kimberly Queen Ferns are deer and rabbit resistant, and a super easy to grow foliage plant. It is adaptable as a houseplant and a landscaping plant.
Growth Habit: Mounding
Native Origin: Australia
Hardiness Zone: 9-11
Environmental needs: Full Shade/Part Shade
Nontoxic to cats, dogs, and humans.
Maintenance: Kimberley is easy to care for and adaptable as a houseplant. As with all ferns, high humidity and consistently moist soils are necessary for the plants to thrive. Overly saturated plants, however, will struggle to survive.
Indoors the plants will do well in a bright window with indirect light.
Water in ground plants deeply, keep containers consistently moist.
Fertilizer isn't needed regularly, but feeding your plants a few times a year, will help with performance.
